Remembrance Day Thank You
To the residents of Bauline
Ref: REMEMBRANCE DAY
It was an honor and privilege to take part in the Remembrance Day service in Bauline this year. Paying tribute to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice and honoring Veterans is something that Canadians and in particular Newfoundlanders take seriously.
It is important that citizens also recognize their role during Remembrance Day and it is not just about attending the service. Those of us who served expect those who stay at home to keep the fires burning; we need you to keep the lights on at home. If we can’t return home, even just to visit, then our military service is for naught. The residents of Bauline have done more than just keeping the lights on. You have added lights and our little community has grown. You should be very proud and never forget that your contribution is what makes our contribution worthwhile.
On behalf of those of us who wore the uniform I extend a sincere thank you and God bless.
